One day? or Day ONE

You decide.

A hand up is not a handout.

When in doubt, just take the next small step.

Breaking barriers, one at a time

StepForward is a small charitable group founded by three women in Charlottesville seeking to help highly motivated individuals who have aspirations, goals or dreams, but are unable to make progress due to various obstacles or challenging circumstances. They may be held back by basic needs, or by the constraints of a new language or culture, or by the challenges of re-entering society after incarceration, or simply by lack of connection, mentoring, and encouragement. It seeks to identify them via a vetting and referral process by like-minded agencies, counselors, or community connectors. It helps them map their steps forward on the path they choose to follow and champions them on the way. It mentors them, connects them with relevant agencies, and helps finance their training, childcare, transportation, or other needs as necessary, to propel them forward toward their goals.
